About the OBG Company
The OBG Company designed its first bowls glove in 2002. Before The OBG Company introduced their gloves bowlers would use a golf glove to try and gain extra grip on the wood, which was totally unsuitable in most cases. So we sat down and designed the very first specifically designed range of bowls gloves. The OBG Leather Latex Finger glove was the first and original specifically designed bowls glove and from which our company name is derived.
The company has since gone on to introduce further gloves and offers styles specifically made for Women and Men in left and right hand. We are still the only company to have five sizes in specific Ladies gloves and three sizes in Men’s. The OBG gloves are now exported all over the world from our UK headquarters. You will see on our website that the OBG brand name can also be seen on a number of other bowls accessories including headwear and bags.
